When we set out to create the RENUE Reversible Nursing Bra, we knew it couldn’t just be “good enough.” It had to work in real life. Through night feeds. Through cluster feeding. Through leaking, stretching, healing and exhaustion. It had to feel soft on sensitive skin and supportive without restriction.
So we tested it properly.
Not just in a studio. Not just on a fit model.
But on real women, including our own founder, who had just given birth.
Designed Through Real Trials (Not Just Samples)
From the very first prototype, we worked closely with mothers at different stages of pregnancy and postpartum. We adjusted, reworked and refined the bra again and again based on honest customer feedback.
Too tight? We softened it.
Too bulky? We streamlined it.
Not easy enough one-handed? Back to the drawing board.
Our founder wore it during her own postpartum journey, testing it through night feeds, long days, and hands-free pumping sessions. Every tweak came from lived experience, not guesswork.
The result is a nursing bra that feels effortless because it’s been pressure-tested in the moments that matter most.
Why Fabric Was Everything
One thing became clear early on: traditional cotton wasn’t going to be enough.
Postpartum skin is sensitive. Hormonal changes affect temperature. Tenderness is constant.
That’s why we chose CloudAir™, our ultra-soft MicroModal Air fabric.
It’s lighter than standard modal. Softer than cotton. More breathable. More moisture-wicking. And gentle enough for skin that’s healing.
The fabric decision alone changed everything about how the bra felt, especially during long, unpredictable days.
Built for Modern Motherhood
One of the biggest insights from testing? Mothers need flexibility.
So we refined the reversible design. The wrap side means there's no more half-awake fumbling at 3am and instead makes for easy pull-to-the-side feeding. While the sporty crop top side has enough structure to hold a wearable, hands-free breast pump in place.
It wasn’t an afterthought. It was intentional.
Because motherhood today is multitasking. Movement. Adaptability. And your underwear should support that.
